Check page number 9. It speaks about Interim EAD, and this document expires on 08/31/08. If they have stopped issuing Interim EADs how come it says the opposite on this document. Just wondering:confused:

You should be getting the physical receipt in 2 or 3 days (at most a week). The check is cleared. Thats enough to know if the application is accepted. Relax man!

Do not worry I was in similar situation last year and my ex employer was from NJ.. I Complained to DOL and they made him to pay me...
Regarding the experience letter ... I saw in other forums that you can get experience letter from your colleques or Peers who worked with you...

In my opinion, you should deal with the seller directly with out an agent only if you know the seller personally. Say you want to purchase a house from another IVan, you can do that with out a middleman (Realtor) :)
But you would still need a settlement agency and a lawyer (usually arranged by the settlement agency). And it is advisable to get the loan thru a loan agent.
So what is the roler of a broker/ real estate agent for a buyer.
If I choose to deal directly with the seller, what are the things I need to do myself and can you explain the "attorney" part that you mentioned.

Lot of people just say if u want to complaint about your employer who is exploiting go to DOL. There is no specific guidance to it. If anyone knows about it or done in the past please post the links here. How to know the blacklisted company and how to add a company as blacklisted.
Following are the most common criteria I heard
1) Employer did not ran the pay check even though he/she worked for that employer
2) Employer Deducts money for H1B filing, bench period etc.,etc.,
3) Employer Deducts money for GC lawyer and application expenses but did not provide information about lawyer or any progress of GC or partially information of GC.. (I heard from my friends company they filed around 80 people on July 2007 and collected money for lawyer expense but they did not had any lawyer)
4) Deducting money for Bench period in advance...

While the Pro SLR/n is a significant improvement over the 14n, I think it's still a studio camera, and a great one too. In addition, if you got a load of the latest great biggest Nikon 2.8 zooms, which is optimal for the camera, its just a great bargain.

I though there is already an option where you could apply in PERM requesting transfer of the non-perm application to PERM (as against a new PERM application). That way you can keep the old PD.

I am in the same boat. They are taking way too long to process H1-B extensions.
Its the same with I-140 too. My application has been pending at VSC for 7 months now and no signs of it being transferred to TSC or NSC for processing or if it will be processed at VSC itself. There is no sign of PP starting anytime soon either. It is such a painful situation to be in. Would it be of any help, if we can contact the USCIS Ombudsman???

I would like to know what you had filled in DS 160 application. Have you ever been refused visa or admission withdrawn application. Is it Yes or No. My spouse h4 (I 539)was denied as I 94 was expired hence leaving country for H 4 stamping.

Guess what you should only travel by First class, If you travel by economy they will catch you..... :))
Jokes aside, You should be ok your H1B extension/stamping has nothing to do with which Airlines you travel, How many stops you will make etc.. Some countries have restrictions if you don't have valid visa during transit. Check with Airlines.

The backlog centers have 10 fed govt employees and 100 guys from Exceed unless I am egregiously mistaken.
Why does any one think that those 100 guys will be left out with out any jobs? Wont the 10 fed guys be moved to Chicago/Atlanta NPC's with huge reloc benefits package? If they dont choose to move because of personal reasons, Do you know what kind of severance packages they get?
100 guys from Exceed will be definitely working for other fed agencies after they are done with this gig. IRS has a huge base in Philly and Exceed is a govt contractor. May be IT consultants need to learn from these folks..

I guess this community is not for willful violators like you. Here we are trying to share information from/for people who follow rules. There are many people (anti-immigration lobbyist and anti-H1b lobby) reading this forum. This will give impression as if this forum is for giving advise to people like you who do not care for the law and will give bad name to IV. I guess you should cough up some money and get advise from a good immigration lawyer. Also, I would suggest a moderator or administrator to look into this matter adn have this thread removed.

What will happen to highly retrogressed countries like Indian, China? When can they expect any tangible results?
Depends on how much the numbers increase, whether there is any kind of per-country quota, coz if there is, then India and China would get screwed because of heavy demand from these 2 countries. CIR will start from square 1 in the next congress and would go back to the judiciary committee, Floor, conference, -- the whole process would be happening all over again.
What will happen to the �Rest of the World� category? When do you think they can expect results?
Rest of the world will be better off than India and China. Unless you are really unlucky and the demand from your country's subscribers increases and there is a separete PD for your country too, like India, China and Phillipines.
What will happen if ALL or Most of the catagories become current. Are we going to get stuck with processing delays for months or years to come ?
YES. If the dates move really really forward, -- like 2005 and 2006, the sheer number of I-485s will bury the USCIS. Expect huge delays. Unless we act on DOS to fund certain agencies we are not going to see any improvement in 485 processing times. The worst part about 485 is that USCIS alone cannot revolutionize its process and solve problems. There is the FBI name check(Dept of Justice) and also DOS involved. Our work will not end when SKIL bill passes. We would have to lobby for administrative reform to fund these agencies. FBI's namecheck division is heavily used by a lot of government and private agencies after 9/11 and they are really underfunded. We, may have to work on our issues even after SKIL bill passes. Unless of course we are really content on spending 5-6 years on EAD/AP. From what I hear, life is not really that great even on EAD/AP

Sounds like someone at SSN office who may not know much about immigration.
If your I 797 came with attached I94, then you certainly can apply for SSN card. Just ask for supervisor at the SS office and talk to them.
If your I 797 does not have attached I 94 (meaning that you are still in H4 status), then I do not know for sure what the procedure would be to apply for SS card.

If your H1 approval notice did not come with the I-94 printed on it, then Canada is definitely an option to get it stamped, however its always better to get the first time stamping done in your home country.
You could also get your status changed while in US, but that would take additional fees and time. Speak to your H1-b sponsor about it.
btw, I would still check the approval notice to make sure that notice does not have an I-94 printed on the bottom of it. The I-94 printed at the bottom of the notice will have the same I-94 number as the one you have stapled to your passport, but will now have your status as H1 instead of H4.

Did you LC mention the requirements for your job. Unless it emphasized that a Masters was needed for your job profile on an LC, I140 will be denied. File an MTR right away along with a new I140 uner EB3. Beleive in god and ur priority dates will remain the same as they were. Make sure that the new I140 under EB3 matches your LC.

What I want to say to you is, don't just sit here complaining. Do something! There are many other threads with advice as to what might be relevant to your case. Look around for CADude's posts. His information is very useful. I also posted my own experiences and solutions.
Read everything. Find out exactly what the hell is going on. Figure out all the factors. Understand the situation. An old movie had the saying "Chance favors the prepared mind." It's true.
I pray you will get out of this rut asap.
