Hi All,
I used the AR-11 form for the change of my address. I did it online. Also, while changing there is an option to change the address for any pending petition. In my case it is the I-485, which I changed.
My question is, how to verify if the address has actually changed in the system at USCIS. I checked my case status online and did not see any LUD's.
Please let me know if anyone of you have done the change of address and share your experience.

Looks like NSC is sending EAD cards in a 'first filed first served ' sequence. I have been monitoring this with my friends circle, where EAD is issued in chronological order. About a few weeks ago, one of my friends received EAD for his July 24th filing, a week ago an Aug 6th filer received EAD card, Last week Aug 8th and 13th filers received EADs.
I filed on Aug 10, but no EAD yet for me. Anybody who filed before Aug 13, didn't receive EAD yet?
I filed my 485 on July 18 at NSC. The checks got cleared only last week at TSC. Looks like my 485 was tranferred from NSC to TSC. So, will I be having problem in getting my EAD, as my 485 is filed at TSC now, and EAD is at NSC.
Please respond your views.

Hi Folks.
Whats the cost of filing a motion to reopen the case 485 if wrongly rejected(either due to using AC21...). I mean lawyer fees + other fees.
I am sure there are folks here who went through this.

I've recently filed my 485.
In my labor and I140 I have my job title as ' Data ware house architect'.
My H1 says 'Programmer Analyst'. So while applying my 485 I menationed my current occupation as 'Programmer Analyst', which is different from what my labor and 140 says.Will this create any problem?
Please advise.

Fellas,
Looks like the pundits are saying that the House, and possily Senate, will fall into Democrat hands beginning January.
Here is what Robert Novak says:
The conventional wisdom about the 2006 elections among both Republicans and Democrats now is that the Democrats will take control of the House and could also win the Senate. One House Republican committee chairman, who publicly exudes optimism, privately predicts -- and has predicted for six months -- a loss of 30 House seats.

If that's a wisdom, no wonder Democrats are in no mood to compromise on CIR. That also explains the chilly reception to Hutshison-Pence. When the democrats have the house they'll craft a new immigraton package and compromise with the perhaps even more democrat-leaning senate. So 2007 is going to be the year of CIR. If the republicans are smart, they're going to try to get best immigration deal possible in the lameduck session before the 110th Congress starts in January. But the democrats may block it altogether. In that case the retrictionists are going to be sorry they didn't take the best deal when it was available (which look like now).

I'm assuming too that your husband is the primary applicant for the I-485. Does your husband have his I-140 approved because if he does then I believe he can file for 3 year extension? In my opinion, it's good to have your H1 or H4 intact just in case something happens to your application. I also think that having EAD and AP also benefits you for emergency purposes. Hope this helps!

I have been arrested on Domestic Violence call by my wife ( of cource false allegations) about month back. Police investigation did not find any evidences and never sent file to DA for filing hence DA never filed charges.
Now USCIS requesting following
1) Please submit an arrest record and final court dispositions for each of your arrests. Court dispositions must be in the original and bear the stamp and/r seal of the appropriate court or clerk. If a court disposition or police record is not available, you must provide official or certified evidence from the appropriate law enforcement agency or court confirming the record in unavailable. Please note, these documents must either be the original or certified copy.
How to get court deposition or evidence that no charge are filed against this arrest?
I have filed petition for expunging arrest record but that will take a while to conclude.

As I understand a new bill has to be introduced in Senate and in House of Representatives. Both these bills will have to be passed and then reconciled for differences.
Is it true that all CIR legislation that was introduced in Senate last year is now dead and that a new bill will have to be introduced in Senate as well?

It is also difficult to get permanent U.S. residency for foreign workers who would like to stay, he said.
"This is becoming for high-tech companies a huge retention issue," Krumholtz said. "We will start to see highly valued tech employees emigrate back to their home countries."

On behalf of all legal immigrants I want to congratulate President Obama for taking on Immigration Reform, as he promised during his campaign. As he embarks on this endeavor, we would like to urge the President to listen to the over 2/3 of Americans who favor immigration reform, and not to the small yet vociferous nativist anti-immigration groups that flood Congress with phone calls and faxes. over two thirds of 300 million Americans cannot be held hostage by a few hundred angry nativists.

No difference. You pay more for 1 yr textensions as you have to do 3 times as compared to 3yr extension. No lawyer will advise you to go for 1 yr if you have an approved I140....

I am currently using my EAD and working for a company remotely from my house. I also have a Permanent Resident Status in Canada. I can work remotely from Canada and my company will not have any objections to it.
Since I am on 485/EAD can I work for a US company and be on their pay roll and live in Canada? What are the ramifications?

Hi,
I have an EB2 that is pending with BEC. Everytime, I ask my employer for some kind of an application number that I can use to check the status online - they deny and instead provide me with the status themselves. Is there any other way to get the status of the LC?
