My I-140 approved. Based on the July 2007 Visa Bulletin revision threat on June 30th, I have prepared and submitted I-485 package with all necessary documents along with approved I-140 copy. I sent the package to Nebraska Service Center and it reached on July 2nd. In the last minute, my company also submitted the I-485 package. My company sent the package on July 1st and reached on July 2nd at Texas Service Center. This was happened due to some communication gap between my company and me.
My questions are:
1. Will there be any problem if there are two package submitted? One from me and one from my company law firm?
2. Will they reject one of the package? If so, which one will be returned?
3. Is it possible to withdraw one of the package?

Politicians are used to pander to their audience.
All he did was to use some keywords - "strategic alliance"; "peace"; "fight terror"; "immigration reform" etc.
He needs to list out the specific issues that he thinks are issues; and then propose a solution that would not only fix the said issue, but also prevent it from recurring.
Broad statements don't mean anything. Everyone knows the immigration system in this country is broken. But no politician has listed out (nor acknowledged) the root causes of the broken system.
But unfortunately, being a politician, he will not say anything that would put him in a corner.

I have today booked my visa interview appointment at Mumbai consulate.My hometown is Indore (Madhya Pradesh) and on the visa appointment letter the "State of Residence" says "Maharashtra". I am confused whether I made any mistake or the "state of Residence" says maharashtra based on consulate's state?
Please help me getting answer to this puzzle.

Hi,
There is wrong priority date on my Labor Certification approval. They
put 2001 instead of 2002 .
It looks they apparently mixed date with some other candidate who have
similar name as mine. They lost his case and put his priority date on mine.
Now can somebody tell me what are my options?
I can not file if the priority date is correct on LCA. But If I apply
for 1-485 using this wrong date, it may be risky because if they find
the correct date it may be problem.
Therefore, I don;t want to take any risk, I just want to apply for
I-140 but should I contact LABOR OFFICE to fix the date and then submit
the application for I-140. Unfortunately Labor Office is not replied
yet on my request to fix this issue.

no you don't have to worry. however when you travel and come back in, it is needed. i believe it might be needed when you try to apply for a visa(extension/change of status etc) in US.

My aunt petioned for my mom (and thus her kids) years ago, My aunt's a Us citizen, and after many years the process has started its final run. For the last two years i was an F1 student in a college in the usa and recently ive come back home; while i was there i married randomly anyway, nothing happened it wasnt a real marriage, and im getting it annuled.
So now im back home and since this process (my aunts petition) has started , im 21 but im covered aswell since the child status protection act covers me. Now, the requirements for the children (derivative beneficiaries) of the aplicant/beneficiary (my mom) to be included are to be under.. 21 (im ok in this part because of CSPA) and UNMARRIED. My question is,,, am i still gonna be included if i show my annulment certificate? as i see it the annulment itself shows that an american court declared that marriage to be voidable and not real so it should make me unmarried.right? would it also be unmarried for immigration purposes if it was divorce instead of annulment? i'd appreciate any feedback, thank you.

It is best to initiate the GC process. Agreed current times are unfavorable ( LC is taking time etc etc ). But if your LC and I-140 are approved you can switch jobs and port PD assuming you change companies with the same job description.

as long as you enter the country back on or before Sept 30th 2010 you will be in good shape otherwise you will need a new visa to enter.

My understanding is that USCIS pre-adjudicates every application and requests fingerprint/namecheck, even if the dates are not current. It is done to weed out denials right away - you don't need to wait for PD to become current to be denied.
So that means they are just going to pre-adjudicate his application and issue him his GC once the Visa numbers become current?
I was in this impression that they would start processing an application only when the PD of that application becomes current and hence the six months or more lead time.

I need a little advice on sponspring my uncle vistor's visa from India
My uncle works in auto industry and I would like to nspor him for a vistor visa. His family will not be visting and he is taking care of his in-laws as well.
Does including his family members make any difference?
