You can work 2 jobs as long as you have...2 H1 visas, one for each job!!
That could be 2 part-time or 1 full time and 1 part-time.
I believe there could be a problem if you have 2 full-time H1 jobs at the same time...

I recently made the move to digital by purchasing a D70. I'm interested in purchasing the Nikon SC-29 cord for use with a SB-800 on a Stroboframe quick-flip frame. I like the idea of the added flexibility that the SC-29 gives over the SC-28 because of the additional autofocus lamp.

However, after I ordered the SC-29 from Etronics.com (who listed this product as being in stock), they contacted me a day later to say that it was actually out of stock. Furthermore, they said that Nikon had discontinued the product, and that though they tried, they were not able to obtain one of these cables through another channel.

Has anyone heard about Nikon canceling the SC-29? That doesn't make any sense to me. I've seen these for sale on e-bay, but that is through a Japanese reseller, and the shipping takes a couple of weeks (not to mention, it's not an authorized Nikon USA dealer).

Any other information or input about the SC-29?

Hi All,

Me and my wife are on EAD. We want to open LLC. Right now I am doing consulting in IT firm. My wife is not working anywhere. What are TAX and immigration consequences if we open LLC on my wife's name?

Questions we have..

1. Can I become parnter easily once my status got changed from EAD to GC?
2. Once my wife start LLC, can she work for another company e.g. Software consulting?
3. What would be tax bracket for my owner of LLC?

Its complicated and gray area, I haven't seen any success from anybody yet.:confused:

There are two ways of porting older priority date
#1 if your old PD is stuck in backlog center, file a new perm labor with exact same wordings( same category too ), this is well documented.

#2 If you have an approved labor(can be substituted also) and approved I-140, then file a new labor with any employer under any category(eb2 in your case). Once labor is approved, at the time of filling new I-140, you need to specify that you want to port priority date of previously approved I-140. Specify relavent memos too, try finding attorney who knows or have done this atleast once :D

"EB3 - Labor filed - Aug, 2004 - BackLogged - Philadelphia - 45 day letter - Replied"

priority date from above labor can only be captured if it gets approved and employer files and get I-140 approval for this labor, and then you go ahead and file a new I-140 for your already approved EB2 specifying need to recapture old PD.


This is all from top of my head w/o having any degree in relavent field, please talk to attorney before taking any action blah blah blah.......

Hi,
I f there is one word difference between first name in marriage certificate and birth certificate will that be basis for rejection of application or will it just be RFE?
First name on the birth certificate and passport is the same but instaed of "ta"there is "tha" in marriage certificate .Due holiday ,it is just impoossible to get affidavit by tonight.
Please I sincerely appreciate your opinion what should be done in such case?
Wait till 16th evening ,hoping to get affidavit which may or maynot be possible or just go ahead and submit application now?

Hi,

I took an infopass appt for EAD pending more than 90 days. Both my EAD and my wife's EAD is pending for more than 90 days. Should I take 2 different appointments or can we both go in the same appointment.

I was successful in getting information for me and my wife in the same appointment twice. But to be safe I will book another appointment. If the IO had a bad day he/she may reject to give infomation on your wife's case :)

During this tough times of un-employment, it is very unfortunate that many of us lose our jobs. As a result many of us lose medical benefits too. I would like to explore our options for medical insurance (which is the most needed) for someone who lost their jobs and cannot afford COBRA coverage since it is very expensive. Basically, I think your labor can be re-appealed but it is a waste of time. It's better to work with your lawyer and get the job duties tick and tied with the paper filing. Nowadays there are lots of audit in the PERM system.

Hi there ,
I will appreciate if any nurse/perosn who has knowledge about nursing profession answer my question.
What is the process for licensure to be a nurse in USA-for a person who has done GNM or BSC nursing in India.
Does it make a difference if one has done a GNM or BSc nursing from India, any advantage of one over the other?

If the non-profit that she plans on working for is (a) affiliated with an institute of higher education; or (b) a research organization;

then she should not be subject to the cap. Otherwise, the non-profit probably is subject to the H-1B cap, so she couldn't start until October 1.
