I am having the same issue.Applied AP online on 1/10/11.Got receipt no and Application as PDF.I have the Receipt no and sent all supporting document with LINXXXXXXXX no.But I have been trying to add the case no to my profile and it says not found.I am not sure what can I do or wait for more days.

Hi. I am currently here in the US applying for AOS from a B2 to F1 visa. I sent my application on the 26th April with USPS Express mail request return reciept. My current 1 94 expired on April 28th. My return receipt from USPS says that my item was signed for on April 28th leaving me still in status but when I received my I 797 C it says that the receipt date is April 29th. I am very worried and I am wondering if this is something I should call their customer services department about. I do not want my application denied simply because I may seem not to be in status. Please help, I am very worried.

Hi,
I applied for 3 year H1B extension for different employer
Atty ,filed wrong Date of Birth in I-129 form.
How to correct this problem??
Atty said, they will inform USCIS after get the Receipt Notice.Is it corrct ??

The attorney can always send an amendment as I believe...But would be good for you to get it cleared...Followup up with the attonrney....Donot let it just slip through....These things have a tendency to take a life of their own and can create lotta headache.,...

Hi,

My wife came to US on H4 and changed to F1 status thru COS. She is doing Masters 2nd semester and went for F1 visa stamping this week in India. She got 221(g) pink slip asking explain her projects, plans afer study etc. Visa officier withheld her passport and I20.
BTW the way I am on H1B and provided all the financial support documents.
I searched the online didnt any F1 getting 221(g) pink.

1)If anyone else got this for F1 please share your experiences and any tips.

2)How long it takes after repsonding to thier queries

3)what are the chances getting visa after getting 221(g) pink

4) Do you suggest getting any professional in drafting the reponse to te queries.. if so do you know any one in Hyderabad, India

I have a question, with the current retrogression and processing dates what is the time for one to get a green card, given that the labor,I-140 being cleared within months, but what is the overall time to wait. Is the process moving forward or is there any improvement ?.

If any one can throw some light on it , would be Great.

Welcome to world of GC.As of now,you will able to get your GC may be in 8-12yrs(minimum years) and the max cannot be calculated.If you have on your first H1 then it is right now to file for GC as you may get 3-year extension based on I140 approcal after you finish all the six years on H1..or some kind of bill may get passed before you complete all the six years and you will get the plastic(GC)..

Is it possible to change to Consular processing while I-140 and I-485 is in pending.

I filed 485 in Aug and do not have the receipt either.

Kindly advice.

If you search murthy forums ,there is a Q&A about this.Its easy to switch from CP to AOS but difficult the other way around.

Hi,

I want to go for a H1B stamping in Canada. I am a PR of Canada.

I have been working with this employer since sep-06. I was on vacation from 13-Jan-07 to 13-Feb-07 in this period i was not paid as i was on personal leave. After coming from vacation I got a project on 05-Mar-07. So I did'nt have any pay stubs between 13-Jan-07 and 04-Mar-07. I was on project till 25-May-07. I was looking for a project for a while and i got a new offer from an employer in canada so i moved to canada on 15-Jul-07. So I never had any paystubs between 26-May-07 and 15-Jul-07. Now i want to go for a H1B stamping in canada.
I have got all other H1B Visa stamping related documnets except the paystubs between (13-Jan-07 and 04-Mar-07 )
and (26-May-07 and 15-Jul-07)

My questions are.

1) Can I go for H1-B Stamping?

2) Is it compulsory to have paystubs?

2. Will there be any problem because of not using the visa at all till now..? No Problem
3. Is there a minimum time limit after joining aftre which only I can apply for extension..? No such limit...I feel it is good to have some pay stubs
4. Most important, can i apply for extension even after expiry of visa in july,2011...?? Yes...

Hi all,

I got my first H1B after my MS in Nov 2002 to Oct 2005. I have renewed my H1B for the next 3 year period (Nov 2005 to Oct 2008) and I have the necessary forms from the USCIS. Now I need to get my passport restamped. I am considering Tijuana, Mexico as I have a friend in San Diego that I want to see. However, my I94 form in my passport says it expires in Nov 2005. Now my question is:

Can I go to Mexico for a restamp? What is the procedure/risk involved?
