Hi
While parents apply for a tourist visa, in DS-156 where it says "who will pay for the trip", if they mention "self" do we still have to send an Affidavit of Support.
Secondly, do they have to show sufficient cash in their bank account for the trip or will investment proof be ok.
Thirdly, our extended visa is expiring 28thApr'07 & we've applied for renewal in feb'07. We have n't received the receipt yet. Will our current visa copy be sufficient ?

If you have a job, getting a work permit will take only 4 hrs inside the consulate. No line. Give the passport and come back within 4 hrs to collect it.

Simply going by the voting standpoint, I think between now and 08 elections, politicians will have little incentive do anything about our case (i.e., legal immigration) realistically. I'm not sure whether we represent a % of voter population that's high enough for them to place our case on their priority list. Moreover, giving us GC now will probably benefit them (in terms of votes) at least after 5.5 years once the GC holders are citizens and hence able to vote.

I have filed I-485 as derivative on my spouse case with his PD of EB3 Dec2005 as his I-140 was also approved in july 2007. I have AP/EAD through it, but have never used them.
I am currently on H1B and just got my I-140 approved through my employer in EB2. My priority is Feb 2005 which is much earlier than his EB3 Dec 2005. The approved I140 has the same Alien # that I received through my pending AOS case filed earlier in july 2007..
Do you recommend filing I-485 again based on August bulletin now that my PD is current.
How does processing date working in tandem with Priority Date.
What is your take on multiple I-485 filing.
Another option will be utilize consular processing with your approved I-140 especially with your current PD.
You may not need to file another I-485. If you applied through lawyer -- ask your lawyer to interfile your and your spouse's I-485 with your approved EB2 I-140. It will save you time and money.

If she is currently on F-1 and if she wants to maintain F-1 when she comes back she will need to go to the embassy and get her F-1 visa. If she enters U.S on old unexpired H4-Visa her F-1 visa becomes invalidated and she won't qualify for OPT/CPT etc.

Have you tried apporaching another bank or some broker ?
(I was intrested to know if the can do a intrest only loan for 125% of current value...I would think no.....but perhaps no one has all the details ironed out yet)

I got my EAD renewed recently and by mistake I have interchanged my First Name and Last Name in the application. I received an approved EAD card also with the First Name and Last Name interchanged.
I noticed the problem only when I went to renew my Drivers License.
My questions are
1) What is the process to get the names rectified on an approved EAD
2) If I leave it as it, will it create any issues.

I am filing AOS for my wife. I noticed G-325A is only single page now, I remember when I submitted mine it was 5 pages. Is it changed to 1 page only or I need to make 5 copies of that single page.
I am submitting AOS and EAD, according to my understanding only 2 photo for AOS and 2 photo for EAD, total 4 photos are required. I saw in some forum they are saying about 6 photos. Am I missing anything...
