In my opinion, it is more relevant to EB immigration....To support a higher number of benefit recipient you need a higher number of EB immigrant who are more likely to be productive that FB immigrants.....
Now that is equivalent of passing judgment on FB immigrants as being unproductive.....I know I am going to get flak on that...
Remember a few posts back; I had said that I thought it was difficult to get h-1b or EB based greencard because it would be pretty difficult to prove that no American is qualified for the job. I wish I had never got involved in immigration so that I could have kept with that thought.
However; I am sure that just about everyone on these boards also thinks that.
The employment base definition of a skilled worker is a job which requires two years of experience (this is the same thing as a professional worker where the job requires a degree). Would you be surprised to know that just about everyone who is coming through family base or lottery visa would also fall into the definition of skilled worker.
In the past three years; I have seen an administrative assistant get sponsored as a skilled worker; a cook making $8.50 as a specialty cook at an Indian restaurant; 8 phillipinos getting sponsored as cooks with a wage of $9.00 at a restaurant; a convenience store clerk; (from reading administrative appeals decisions; i have seen a driving instructor, horse trainer, etc.). All of these jobs fit into a definition of "skilled worker" and share same eb3 category as professional.

Your assumption is correct, But i am not sure if the spillover happens every quarter. Are you sure it happens every quarter. I thought it happens only @ last quarter.

I think you are one of the most sane Amway guy I have heard from. Thanks for all the explanation. Now I know I have a problem with BWW and their approach not Amway. Looks like they are good brainbleachers.
again, i am not with this business now but still think its a good model. it is based on word of mouth advertising, franchising, residual income - everything e-commerce (which is a subject taught at some universities). now add some short sighted people to do the teaching and BINGO.. screwed it up big time.

I think we have spent enough time discussing this, please respond to this post if you are willing to share the cost of taking this discussion to a top Constitutional attorney. (just the cost of initial discussion...not the actual case)
Also if some one can point me in the right direction on finding the right attorney for this question then I'll really appreciate it.

If all IMV memebers ever come to form a political party, people like you should be avoided. For you it's all love for YSR..where as for others it's not about YSR or CBN. It is about there values and what they stand for against (corruption, blood politics, land grabbing and so forth..)

I guess there should be some T-Shirt to wear when going to Walmart or desi shop which says "Amway leaches keep away (some slogan)" to put these desi Amway guys to shame.
When I moved to Cali about 2 yrs back from the midwest, I saw a guy at a desi store in the bay area who looked very similar to an old school friend whom I have not seen in 14 yrs. I went upto him and started talking to him asking if he was the same guy, He insulted me and avoided me like the plague. In midwest, I have not had any similar exp when I have tried stiking any conversation with a desi, so I was shocked. Then my BIL who had been living in the bay area for a while tole me about amway cons being in huge numbers and the fact that Desis do not trust anyone in the bayarea who appear friendly and the probable reason why this guy behaved the way he did. It is sad that we cannot be friendly to our own countrymen.

Clear up your mind for a little while and consider this:
The whole working world lives by on one simple rule ..... GETTING PEOPLE OFF YOUR BACK.
The bigger PITA (pain-in-the-ass) you are... the higher is the priority you get.
As a community we will need to become a PR nightmare for govt. officals... simply being an inconvenience is not going to cut it... we will have to become a "a cactus that is stuck in the colon".
USCIS says EBs are retrogressed because there are XXXXX people in the queue. Why is the queue so long? Because they wasted numbers in the past and kept the queue long. This is pure operational inefficiency that is resulting in monetary, emotional and mental loss to about a million people.
This is a valid ground for a class action lawsuit.
By filing this suit, we will become the "cactii in the colon" that they will have to address. And you know what the easy out of court settlement will be..... RECAPTURE!
We will keep lobbying and crying as we usually do.. But this thing has a far better shot than anything else.

Good idea, but as far as I know, difficult to fight from a legal point of view. I'll ask my attorney about this and will keep you posted.

This reminded me of one of my experiences with Amway guys. This dude comes to me in a mall and started off with his usual "Amway - styled" conversation and finally said that he owns a site similar to amazon.com. That is when I realized and stopped him right there and said "We already have amazon.com, why do you want to open a new one?" he was dumb-founded for a sec then he pretended to attend a phone call and stepped away.

It's easy to blame the allies it's tough to suck in the truth when you as an individual have vested interest and not Nation's interest in mind.
All these vested interests of different individuals are the rungs of Sonia's ladder.In that sense alone she and her family are in
the right place right time.
We as individuals don't put in efforts to learn the facts(of course we have so many hurdles in our own life),when some one breaks it down for you, you try to weigh your benefit in accepting/rejecting the facts. Then wake up one day when we get the jolt of Mumbai kind of attacks(She was doing non sense with defence ministry too). War is in the northern and eastern provinces. Sinhala and Muslims were driven out of this area by the LTTE. Tamils live all over the country. Tamils lead regular life in other areas of the country that's not succumbed to the war, this includes the capital, colombo. They conduct business, attend universities/schools, they lead a regular life just like any other sinhala or muslims. Tamils lead prosperous lives in other parts than the north and east. Mr. Oppenheim stated that, due to the dramatic increase in employment-based filings, visa cutoff dates for FY2010 will be much more limited to ensure that there will be a steady supply of visa numbers available throughout the year. 1] To date there are 60K EB2I and another 60K EB3I I-485 applictaions pending.
2] 3.2K visas were available for EB2I for FY2009.
Assuming 3.2K visas are available every year from now on, it will take 60/3.2=18.75 years for all EB2I applicants upto today to be granted GC.

Say even if you get the canadian PR, you have to pay tax's close to 45%.
Medical is free but unless you are really sick or anticipate being sick, I think its not much of value. And if you are in a decent comp in the US you get almost free care.
Also the job senario is not as good as its in the US. I heard its a lot more harder to get a job in Canada. Yes its true with PR you can work anywhere but how many of us will do that.
In fact one of my friend told me the cost of living is higher there.
I maybe naive and have limited knowledge about Canada, but from the above observations I think one will be disappointed to go to Canada from US.
